A New Outdoor Cinema for Wolverhampton.

We will soon become home to Wolverhampton’s new open air cinema, showcasing a specially curated programme of feature films. Our pop-up cinema will be situated in our secure courtyard, providing the perfect community setting for watching cult classics and family favourites amongst friends at sundown.
This new venture into cinema is made possible by our NAC outside spaces. In recent weeks our courtyard has successfully held a series of summer school workshops for drama and dance students. This open airred setting will now become Wolverhampton’s Courtyard Cinema. All socially distanced screenings will be safely delivered NAC’s COVID policies and procedures at all times in place.
We are pleased to announce that we kick off our cinema programme this September with the classic fairy tale adventure, The Princess Bride. This is the perfect film for adults and kids alike, an enchanting adventure about a beautiful young woman and her one true love. He must find her after a long separation and save her. They must battle the evils of the mythical kingdom of Florin to be reunited with each other. Encountering numerous obstacles, enemies and allies in his quest, expect giants, villains, wizards and plenty of swordplay. With a healthy dose of tongue-in-cheek humour, The Princess Bride remains as fresh and as entertaining today as when it was first released. Originally based on the William Goldman novel, which has earned its own loyal audience over the years.
The Princess Bride will be showing at 7pm on Saturday the 12th September (doors opening at 6.30pm). Early Bird tickets cost just £5 adults, £3 children, £15 family of four. More tickets can also be purchased on the day- subject to availability.
*Our Early Bird Ticket Offer ends midnight this Friday 11th September.*
