A challenge, competition, exhibition and festival all in one. Artists are given 8 hours, to go out into a defined area around the NAC, to create a work of art. The area offers a wide range of subject matter including parks, canals, football stadium, racecourse, places of worship, Victorian terraces, shops, historic buildings and more.

Paint the Day: Free Public Exhibition Sun 25th June 12:00pm – 5:00pm Sat 1st July 12pm-5pm / Sun 2nd July 12pm-4pm All finished art completed on The Challenge Day will be displayed in the Gallery Hall at NAC in the public exhibition. Vote for your favourite, buy or bid for an original work of art.
