Fun Palace is both an ongoing campaign for culture at the heart of every community, and an annual weekend of action – arts, science, craft events and activities – run by and for local communities.
Expect creative, scientific, workshops & activities of culture including everything from ukeleles to trees from Bollywood dance to sculpture and much much more…
All ages welcome. Free. No need to book just drop-in.

Family Yoga Adventure by MataYoga
Join us for a yoga adventure for all the family including stretches, postures, breathing & relaxation. Suitable for all, 4yrs to 100yr olds! 1.30pm & 3.15pm NAC Theatre
Drumming Performance and demonstration by Pathfinders
Drumming and marching and Explanation. 2.30pm NAC Theatre
Fun pre-school dance by Diddi Dance
Fun pre-school dance classes for girls and boys. Usually for children from 18 months up to 5 years but older children can join in the free dance taster sessions at this event too. From 2.30pm NAC Theatre.
Bollywood dance workshop by Jaivant Patel Dance
Open to all ages and abilities, regardless of experience led by Jaivant Patel, an award-winning independent dance artist, cultural producer and choreographer based in Wolverhampton.

Taster choir session by Howling Wolves Community Choir
A sample of what we do during practices and a chance to join in with some singing. No musical knowledge or ability needed, just come and enjoy some singing with us.

It “IS” Rocket Science by BME Housing Consortium
build a rocket to explain and demonstrate the Physics of how Rockets fly into space.
Worry Worts Weaving by Gatis Community Space
In this workshop you can build a worry wort bed from natural and recycled materials.
PUNJABI FOLK MUSIC by AZAAD ARTS- AZAAD DHOL GROUP
Mini workshop and display of the Punjabi Folk Instruments.
Activity Hall by Explore Learning
Family games with a chalk board, a balloon tree, and a flat playmat.
Egg Box Gardening by WCR FM
Sow cress seeds (on cotton wool in egg boxes) take them home and watch them grow.
Create a ‘Clay Selfie’ by The Sculpture Place
Make a ‘clay selfie’ which will be added to a display. The aim is to fill the board with a community of clay.
Sound Escape by Workshop 24
Sound Escape is a sound workshop that promotes curiosity and will produce a portrait in sound of the event. The workshop includes ‘deep listening’, recording soundscapes in and around NAC.
Henna activity by The Way Youth Zone
Come along to The Way’s stand you can get in the Halloween spirit and do a Day Of The Dead Sugar Skull Masks or chill out with Vijay and get your henna done.
