Let the festive fun begin!

This Christmas, Newhampton Arts Centre is treating the whole family to a double festive whammy. On Sunday the 9th of December NAC will be hosting the must-see children’s Christmas show, ‘Jack and the Beans Talk’ from Garlic theatre and opening up their gallery hall for it’s annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Market.

Jack and the Beans Talk is a must-see fresh and funny spin on a much-loved story, both charming and inventive with plenty of interaction, an enormous beanstalk, bags of gold and a smelly old giant. This cautionary tale about what might happen if you throw things out of the window! This favourite children’s classic is brought to life using wondrous puppetry from Garlic Theatre with slapstick humour, suspense & plenty of audience participation; making this an ideal gentle introduction to the theatre for very young children and the perfect family Christmas show. (Suitable for ages 3-7 yrs).  (Tickets are priced just £3.50 per child, £5.50 per adult or £16 for a family).

After the show, make your way over to NAC’s Christmas art and craft market to shop for those all-important Christmas presents or keep the kids entertained for even longer with festive fun, rock painting activities and yummy treats.

NAC’s Christmas market runs from 11am until 5pm on Sunday 9th December with FREE ENTRY. They invite you to swap that stressful Christmas shop experience for their cosy alternative. Relax and unwind as The Wulfrun Warblers provide their heavenly harmonies, singing carols from the balcony and make your way strolling through the 20+ stalls in NAC’s Victorian Gallery. A wide selection of items will be on offer from many local artists, makers, and enterprise, including, illustrated and hand painted cards and gifts, original framed artworks, jewellery, homemade crafts and crafting kits, knitted and felted treasures, Harry Potter & Alice in Wonderland themed gifting, cakes and baked goods and much more. There will also be plenty of festive food and refreshments available to help you get in the festive spirit.
