New Autumn Jazz Season at NAC now on sale

Over the past few years one of the most welcome additions to our programme has been Jazz at Wolverhampton.

We’ve been delighted to link up with this group of musicians, teachers and experts over the past few years to bring some of the best in contemporary jazz to the city. Some of most memorable concerts have included a solo piano concert by Zoe Rahman, local musical hero Xhosa Cole’s quartet and Clark Tracey’s all-star band.

We’re now on full power again after the interruptions of the past few years, and have four very different and equally strong acts featuring in our autumn 2022 season. We start with Robert Castelli, on the world’s foremost jazz drummers and his BOOM quartet from the States. Following on in November we have Daniel Karlsson’s piano-led trio on a UK tour from Norway. We return to the UK to feature two of our leading instrumentalists: Arnie Somogyi on bass leads a group interpreting the work of Charlie Mingus, and we round off the year with saxophone virtuoso Martin Speake and his band who explore the work of Ornette Coleman.
