Summer Events Still To Come

If you’re feeling a bit blue about the weather, don’t worry. We’ve got a summer full of exciting events at the Newhampton Arts Centre  that’s sure to lift your spirits.

Folk Music: A Melodic Journey

For those who appreciate the timeless charm of live folk music, we’ve got several treats for you. The Magpie Arc, Granny’s Attic, Kathryn Williams, and Polly Paulusma are all set to grace our stage presenting the very best of live folk at our summer folk season.

 

Live Music

Continuing with our impressive live music programme, Martin McAloon of Prefab Sprout will be revisiting some of the band’s most loved songs. Clavis7even is ready to deliver a performance that’s as exciting as it is unique. And for an even more intimate gig experience, Jack Fletcher, Jack Cattell, and Alex Ohm are sure to impress with their distinctive sounds for one night only with Community ‘In The Round’. Bag your tickets quick for this one as its very limited availability.

Unmissable Jazz

Our jazz lovers won’t went to miss Shivraj Singh’s Loophole, featuring the talented Soweto Kinch. This up and coming bass player from Birmingham aims to experiment with non-cyclical forms, drawing influences from a variety of musical genres.

Popcorn & Drama

For those who love the magic of theatre, we’ve got Shelagh Stephenson’s “The Long Road“. This powerful play promises to be an enriching experience that will take you on a journey of emotion and insight. We also have the return of our special Film and Food night. Dive into the life of “The King” with Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Elvis’ in our outdoor covered marquee, where the magic of the big screen meets a gourmet treats from The Arts Cafe

 

A Dose of Laughter

And finally, for those who believe that laughter is the best medicine, we’ve got Josie Long. A triple Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, Josie’s unique brand of humour is sure to bring a smile to your face.
