Making Waves – An inclusive festival of underwater delights – for the young people, families and carers of our city – part of Wolverhampton CEP Same Difference Festival.

The FREE accessible & inclusive breakout space for Same Difference, Wolverhampton CEP’s youth festival. Create an atmospheric underwater landscape over the day through engaging drama, music and paper-craft fun – or just enjoy a sensory chill-out. All welcome!

Young people and families of Wolverhampton – transform Newhampton Arts Centre’s New Horizons tent into an accessible and inclusive underwater landscape for the day! You can create and sing sub-aquatic songs, craft handmade sea-life or just find the sensory chill-out space that you need. Featuring interactive puppetry, music, movement, drama, and craft fun, join Cloud Cuckoo Land’s artists in imagining, relaxing and creating a space just for you. Bring your ideas and take ownership of this part of Same Difference, a creative festival showcasing the talents of young people in the city.

There are two bookable sessions on Sunday 13th August at Newhampton Arts Centre.
11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm.
Limited capacity, booking in advance advised.

The sessions will be relaxed and flexible. You are welcome to enter and leave the space as you need to throughout your booked session. Carers and family members are encouraged to attend and create too.

This space is designed to be accessible for all, we think young people aged 7-18 will really enjoy it. Siblings who are younger than 7 are also welcome, please let us know the age of any child you book a ticket for.

*   BSL interpreter present at all sessions
*   Stims welcome
*   Ground level step-free entrance and accessible toilet facilities
*   Low numbers of participants (maximum of approximately 50 people in the space, including carers and family members. The space has a seating capacity of 200)
*   Low volume sound
