We are delighted to be able to share details of other Christmas events in the West Midlands and Wolverhampton area that we think our audience might be interested in.
Our first recommendation is Christmas with the Rat Pack and Marilyn Monroe.
Taking place at Dudley borough Halls on Tuesday 14th December, swing into the Christmas season with the Rat Pack and their famous Christmas Concert.
The official UK No. 1 tribute show – as voted by The Agents Association of Great Britain for three successive years – arrives direct from London’s Leicester Square Theatre, The O2 and a Royal Command Performance.
The acclaimed David Alacey (Lovejoy; Inspector Alleyn) stars as Frank Sinatra alongside Paul Drakeley (Inside Out – BBC) as Dean Martin. They are joined by former EastEnders star and Central Television’s “Mr Weather” Des Coleman as Sammy Davis Jnr in the original Rat Pack show, now celebrating its 22nd record breaking year. Together they amaze audiences with their recreation of a magical Christmas at The Sands with Sinatra, Martin and Davis in this sensational show which brings the style, glamour and excitement of the Las Vegas heyday to vivid life.
Including all the great hits – My Way, Mr Bojangles, New York New York, Amore, Fly Me to the Moon and seasonal classics such as Winter Wonderland, Let It Snow and of course White Christmas.
Our second recommendation is Wolverhampton Grand’s Cinderella.
No Christmas season is complete without a pantomime. Promising to be the best pantomime in the West Midlands, CINDERELLA starring AJ & Curtis Pritchard as Prince Charming and Dandini, CBeebies’ Evie Pickerill as Cinderella and Five Star’s Denise Pearson as the Fairy Godmother runs from 4 December 2021 until 9 January 2022.
Under the power of her evil Stepmother and wicked Stepsisters, Cinderella lives as a poor servant girl, pandering to their every need and only dreaming of their luxurious lifestyle. With help from her only friend Buttons and a fabulous Fairy Godmother, can she make it to the Royal Ball and find her Prince Charming?
With magical new staging, CINDERELLA promises to be the ultimate fairy-tale pantomime, full of fun, dazzling choreography and magical surprises.
Our final recommendation is André Rieu: Christmas with André (Cinema Screening)
The King of the Waltz brings you a festive spectacular from his newly created Winter Palace in his hometown of Maastricht. Immerse yourself in the spirit of the season while singing and dancing away to lovely Christmas carols, romantic waltzes and beautiful melodies like Jingle Bells, O Holy Night, Hallelujah, a show-stopping performance of Walking in the Air and many more! Marvel at the magnificent palace decorations including 150 beautiful chandeliers, over 50 Venetian candelabras and huge arched windows revealing a joyous wintery landscape including ice rinks and ice skaters.
Christmas with André is guaranteed to warm your hearts and get you in the festive spirit. Join André for his inaugural Christmas concert all from the comfort of your local cinema. An unforgettable festive treat for the whole family.
André Rieu says: “Christmas is my favourite time of the year and nothing could be better than spending it with my friends, family and fans in my hometown. I want to invite my cinema audiences on this beautiful journey to Christmas wonderland.”
