I, Spy…half term around the corner!
And we spy some half term treats for you.
To celebrate the upcoming family theatre show I Spy with My Little Eye, we’ve made some I, Spy scavenger hunt sheets, which you can download right here.
Take them in the car, to the park, on a walk or wherever you might to keep the little ones entertained during half term. If you haven’t got a printer to hand you can download and keep them as PDF’s on your phone or tablet.
We are sure after the mass toilet roll hoarding of 2020, we’ve all got a couple of empty ones lying around. Make your little ones a telescope or binoculars to help them spy all the objects. Skip on over to this website for some ideas.
And finally, this one’s for the level 10 crafters amongst us, make yourselves an I-spy bottle. Dried peas, bottle and little toys from round the house make this a wonderful little activity for a rainy day. Or if you’re anything like our covering marketing officer with zero craft skills, head on over to Etsy and search for some beautiful hand made I spy bags!
How about changing up an ordinary game of I Spy by using colours e.g “I spy something red”, or you could do it with 2D and 3D shapes. For slightly older children, “something ending in t” and word recognition. We could even play with textures such as something bumpy, or smells “stinky” or tastes “sweet” or even something that rhymes. The possibilities are endless to make an ordinary game of I, Spy a little more exciting for us adults!
Remember, I Spy with my Little Eye will be presenting a wonderful family theatre show on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th February at 11am & 2pm. You can purchase your tickets here and you’re all invited to celebrate Molly’s birthday!
